Bryn Mawr Terrace Workers Win Election

On April 18th, workers at Bryn Mawr Terrace - a nursing home in the Philadelphia suburbs - voted to form a union with other nursing home workers in SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania.
Bryn Mawr Terrace is owned by the same company that owns Saunders House, another
nursing home in the area where the workers joined SEIU Healthcare PA. In their first contract, Saunders House workers won better pay and benefits, more sick days and vacation days, tuition reimbursement and
even money towards a home downpayment.
After seeing the improvements Saunders House workers made, Bryn Mawr Terrace workers organized to
get the same respect that their fellow workers have. Having won their election, they are now working to improve patient care and win a contract that will ensure the home can retain and recruit good people by providing better wages and
benefits.
